We did it!

We've been back a few weeks from our wonderful honeymoon, after a fantastic wedding, dinner and reception at Pine River Ranch. We can't imagine a better site, a more beautiful day or a better crowd for such a momentous day -- and we had a wedding to remember. I think it's a tribute to everybody involved when the bride and groom can genuinely say that they had a wonderful time at their own wedding. We did. I've added a picture or two, and will post a link should we archive photos somewhere in the near future.

Friday River Float & Saturday Golf

If you're gearing up for a trip to Lake Wenatchee in mid-July, there's a lot going on in the outdoors. Plenty of hiking, swimming, golf, horse rides, Norweigian napping, or a river float we might interest you in.

Annie, Kevin and a few other brave souls will face down the not-so-mighty Wenatchee River on Friday from roughly 11:30am to 2pm. The trip is run by Tube Leavenworth, who supply the equipment, coolers, and ride back to our cars near Lake Wenatchee. Let us know if you're leaning that way, so we can give the company a rough headcount. Hope to see you there.

Saturday morning, starting bright and early at 9am, there will be some poor golf played at Kahler Glen. The course is located just a few short minutes from the wedding site and should allow ample time to get in 9 or 18 holes prior to the nuptuals. Let me know if you'd like to play.

The Date, The Place, Your Smiling Face

If you got a save the date in the mail, and managed to navigate here, you're well on your way to witnessing the Rumble on the Ranch, the Bash in the Barn and the Miracle at the Meadow, as Annie and Kevin make it official on the 18th of July at the Pine River Ranch near beautiful Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth, WA.

You'll be receiving your official invite soon, but don't hesitate to book a room, house or campsite now. Lots of details on housing are found immediately below, at Places to Stay in Leavenworth/Lake Wenatchee.

We're getting more and more excited by the day to see everyone together, enjoying the good company of friends and family. It promises to be a fun, relaxed and high-spirited affair for young and old. Whoop whoop!

Mrs. Annie McGlocklin

If you are reading this on July 19, 2009, there just might be someone who answers by that name. That's because on July 18, 2009, Annie Philipsen and Kevin McGlocklin are tying the knot, and Annie, despite all of the reasons to the contrary, has graciously agreed to use my proud family name.

Anyway, check back here throughout the coming months for more information on places to stay in the Lake Wenatchee/Leavenworth, WA vicinity; activities there and around, wedding preparations news, and lots of articles of ambiguous utility from me.
